Air Pollution Recovery Indicators (APRI)

The Air Pollution Recovery Indicators (APRI) project will focus initially on belowground mycorrhizal fungi (soil fungi forming beneficial partnerships with plants) and their role in heathland recovery from the effects of nitrogen pollution. Future phases of the project (subject to funding) may include comparing the UK heathland sites to Scandinavian and continental European counterparts. Further research may also be carried out on other habitats and species and how they recover. If you would like to receive updates on this project and potentially participate in stakeholder engagement events then please register your interest.
